With just five days to go until the U.S. general election on November 6th, Twitter launched a new tool on Thursday: Called the "Political Engagement Map," the new webpage allows users to see which individual tweets from the two leading Presidential candidates garnered the most "engagement" across the country and in particular states, with engagement measured in terms of the number of retweets and favorites a candidates' tweet received from other Twitter users.
At the bottom of the map, users can also toggle over to a view that shows tweets in terms of "noteworthy reactions," or how engaging specific candidate tweets were relative to other, general tweets.
