Sandi Jackson, wife of recently resigned Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr (D-IL), told reporters Tuesday that she will not resign her seat on the Chicago City Council.
"No. I am not a candidate for Congress," Jackson said, according to The Chicago Tribune. "I intend to remain an alderman."
Earlier this week, Jackson told DNAinfo.com Chicago that she would "never say never" and "one never knows what the future may hold" in regards to a possible run for the seat her husband had held since the mid-1990s.
