Karl Rove on Wednesday responded to critics of his Conservative Victory Project, a new super PAC designed to back electable Republicans in Senate primaries.
"We deserve to have a right to be involved in primaries, and we want to go about it in a thoughtful fashion," Rove said on Fox News' "Hannity." "Look, If you take the attitude that nobody ought to be involved in primaries, fine. But if you take the attitude that some groups ought to be able to be involved in primaries and not other groups, then there's a little bit of a hypocrisy there. And we have a right just like everybody else to be involved, and in a low-key, collegial fashion we're going to try to do what we can to get the most electable, strong conservatives, so we don't give away seats."
