Authorities identified the suspected shooter of four firefighters, two of which who are dead, in Webster, New York on Monday as William Spengler, 62, NBC10 reports. He was arrested in 1980 for killing his grandmother and served time until 1998.

Police say "several" weapons were used at the scene. "At least a rifle," Webster's police chief told reporters at a press conference.
