Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, an Obama campaign surrogate, said that Mitt Romney failed to explain how he would pay for his domestic policy agenda in the first presidential debate. 

"We can all eat cake and lose weight," O'Malley said on CNN Thursday, summarizing Romney's stance. "Trust me, I've got a secret plan behind door No. 2."
