President Obama invoked the 2008 campaign in a speech in Mansfield, Ohio Wednesday. In his speech, Obama pushed his plan to raise taxes on income over $250,000 and revive manufacturing and the middle class. As in recent speeches, Obama's campaign message has focused less on the short-term goal of fixing the economy and on a message of long-term growth and growing the middle class.
My faith in you is stronger than ever. And if you still believe in me like I believe in you, I hope you'll stand with me in November. I'm asking you to stand with me in November. I'm asking you to join this cause. Let's finish what we started in 2008. Let's put the middle class back at the forefront. Let's remind the world just why it is that the US of A is the greatest nation on earth.
