Former Speaker Newt Gingrich posted a message on Twitter late Tuesday encouraging Republicans in the House to make whatever changes they want to the fiscal cliff deal and send it back to the Senate.

My simple message to house republicans is "dont cave"!You can amend the bill and the Senate will have to face reality that you exist
