NASA and Foursquare on Thursday announced a new badge featuring the Mars Curiosity Rover, for users of Foursquare's geolocation social network who check-in to a NASA visitor center, planetarium or science museum, and also "Like" NASA's page on Foursquare. Here's an image of the badge below, via NASA and Foursquare:
The new Mars Curiosity Rover badge replaces a previous NASA "Explorer" badge on Foursquare featuring the Space Shuttle.
Earlier in October 2012, NASA and Foursquare partnered to have the Mars Curiosity Rover peform the first interplanetary check-in on the Red Planet. NASA and Foursquare's partnership goes back to 2010, when a NASA astronaut performed the first outer space "check-in" on Foursquare, aboard the International Space Station.
