Vice President Joe Biden will make an appearance on the Nov. 15 episode of NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and will play himself, the newly re-elected vice president, reports the New York Times.
The scene was filmed secretly this summer in Washington, D.C. If details had been leaked, NBC may have been forced to offer the Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan a spot on a show as well in order to make sure they were not promoting one candidate over another.
The scene was filmed assuming that Biden and President Obama would win re-election, but they filmed an extra line in case the vice president lost.
The New York Times has the story.
