Former Nixon and Reagan campaign adviser Roger Stone will most likely run for governor in Florida, he told National Review Online's Robert Costa. He said he wants to run as a libertarian and will make his decision by year's end.
Incumbent Gov. Rick Scott (R) is reportedly prepared to spend $100 million in his re-election bid. He spent about $75 million of his own money to win the state in 2010. A poll released in December showed that 52 percent of voters in the state said Scott does not deserve re-election.
