Candidate For Jackson Jr.’s Seat Charged With Trying To Bring Gun On Plane

A candidate running to replace former Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. in Congress was charged by authorities in Cook County on Wednesday for allegedly attempting to board an aircraft with a weapon, the Chicago Sun-Times reported

Illinois State Sen. Donne Trotter (D) was charged with one count of attempting to bring a weapon onto an aircraft, Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton told the newspaper. The spokeswoman could not confirm where the incident took place, according to the paper.
