World Press Photo Of The Year Captures Arab Spring

A veiled woman consoles a man in Yemen – a moment captured by Spanish photographer Samuel Aranda, which was named the World Press Photo of the Year on Friday. 

Aranda’s picture, taken on assignment for the New York Times, was selected out of 100,000 photographs submitted by more than 5,000 photographers.
