It was a clean sweep for Mitt Romney in CPAC polling Saturday. First, Romney won a slim majority of the attendees at CPAC in the straw poll conducted at the conference. Then, Romney won an even slimmer majority of national conservatives polled by telephone this week with the same questions from the CPAC straw poll survey. 

Romney won 27% support among the 600 self-identified conservatives polled by telephone Tuesday and Wednesday in a scientific survey sponsored by CPAC. Rick Santorum, who’s currently beating Romney in national polling, came in second in both polls. In the national poll, he earned 25% support. Newt Gingrich came in third with 20%.
