Mark Zuckerberg Accidentally Endorses Romney

Hey, it’s no worse than Donald Trump’s real endorsement, right? Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg accidentally gave a de-facto endorsement to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Monday night, according to Gawker.

The accidental endorsement occurred on Zuckerberg’s Facebook page. Here’s how it occurred, as Gawker explains it: Zuckerberg had clicked the “Like” button on a Facebook update posted by Slate’s tech columnist  Farhad Manjoo, who pointed out that the “ROMNEY” all-caps logo bore an uncanny resemblance to the word MONEY. To illustrate his point, Manjoo posted a link in his update to Romeny’s campaign website, www.Romney.com. When Zuckerberg clicked “Like” on Farhood’s update, that “Like” appeared on Zuckerberg’s own Facebook page with just the link to the Romney website, stripping away Manjoo’s comment entirely.

Zuckerberg’s page was immediately flooded with comments from angry “Friends” and subscribers, including this gem: “Harvard guy who sides with other harvard white ass republicans.” Romney earned a joint JD and MBA from Harvard. Zuckerberg dropped out to found Facebook.
